STREETWISEUK solution can be used to carry out site inspection of Highway Repair, Backfill and Reinstatement work. Following the implementation of Section 74 of the New Roads and Street Works Act and associated charges for non-compliance (up to £2,000 each day per excavation) there is a strong business need to eradicate non compliance work and ultimately reduce liability thus achieving the goal of legislation to improve traffic flows in the highway.

STREETWISEUK have addressed this need using the latest mobile technology. Handheld devices are used to collect inspection data, which, along with photographs can be transmitted and provided (networked, standalone or via web portal) to all stakeholders. The system, known as MICE, can replace existing paper-based processes with considerable success, significantly reducing the time taken to report and rectify defects.

Data Collection  

STREETWISE UK electronically collects the job details. MICE automatically validates inputs using workflows that fully replicates and often improves job processes. These workflows can be adapted easily to fit all types of work management, inspection and audit management activity. Users visit the site, complete their work and enter data onto the handheld device. Jobs can be photographed using the hand held device, and the image along with the job information can then be sent directly into the back office repository.

Management Information

Key stakeholders can then log on to MICE (back office) and using key data including job reference, gang id, council, etc, can analyse and interrogate important management information at all hierarchal levels.
